Pete a Day: 87, 88, 89, 90, 91

We have all been sick here the past few days. I’m catching up today.

Day 87

My old and new running shoes. I think these old shoes have somewhere between 300 and 500 miles on them. Possibly more. In fact I’m pretty sure it is on the high end of that estimate. I use to keep logs, but my training has been so sporadic lately. Plus, I can’t remember when I got them.  It is interesting to observe wear patterns on the shoes.

Day 88

Lyla had me pull out my old yo-yo the other day. After a little practice I was able to pull off a few tricks. I got it to finally sleep. I thought I would try and capture it. It was shaky and difficult to time the sleep with the camera timer.

Day 89

Day 90

I love jelly beans. These are Jolly Rancher Jelly Beans. They are impossible to find out side of Easter time.

Day 91

No bike ride today, but it is good to make sure everything is all tuned up. Never know when the opportunity to ride will come.

Pete a Day: 23

Getting ready for March 10th! I am so getting my tail kicked that day.

Disappointment a Day: 35

Why didn’t they have these things when I was a kid:

I would have loved to ride a bike to school. Sure, in Jr. High and high school it would have been the kiss of death, but in elementary school that would have been cool.  I really wish I had ridden my bike to school when I was in jr. high and high school. There is ZERO bike infrastructure in my hometown. We really didn’t have a need. A few bike racks at the school and some of the kids that live close by could have ridden. My parents’ house is exactly 2 miles from the school. We would have been perfect. Alas, it wasn’t meant to be.

Disappointment = not sharing dorky Pete with the world earlier.
