I have my unique interests. I will admit that I have interest in things that, while not inappropriate, they are just odd. Today, I saw something very close to this:
I’m talking about the right on the right. The one I saw today was bigger than this one. I can’t knock someone for enjoying Mickey Mouse or even Disney. I love a good Disney movie. Heck, I’ve been known to watch the Disney channel on occasion and semi enjoy it.
This to me is almost in the same arena as a tattoo. While easier to remove than a tattoo, a wedding ring is a very permanent decision. I know people get divorced left and right, but this is pretty close. I only take my wedding ring off when I’m working in my bee yard. Every other time it stays on my finger. I feel weird when it comes off. Now imagine Mickey Mouse living on your finger every day for the rest of your life. Eating dinner? Mickey Mouse is there. In the shower? Mickey Mouse is there. Taking a slam? Mickey Mouse is there. Getting busy with your S.O? Mickey Mouse is there.
It doesn’t quite disappoint me as it geeks me out. In my search for this ring, I stumbled across a few other things.
This ring heats up the wearer’s finger the day before their anniversary to serve as a reminder. I see all kinds of things wrong with it, or at least things that could go wrong. The geek in me loves the idea of this, but what happens when the machines rise up? Will I lose my finger?
I never got Pokemon. These people sure did:
Awesome for them, but what do you tell your kids? They won’t be excited by your originality. They will think, “Dorks. Everybody knows Team Rocket is the best.” Parents always disappoint their kids.
